Successful Mothers ascended from a two-year journey towards my own self-discovery. As a nursery educator and teacher for over 16 years, I interacted with mothers daily and heightened my insight into the many struggles and triumphs experienced through motherhood.
I developed a yearning to establish a support network that could create a space for mothers to focus on their personal development and growth with the help of specialists as well as being surrounded by other mothers.
As gratifying as motherhood can be, it can also be a lonely experience for many. I strive to tackle this isolation. We can achieve whatever we want, but it is much more difficult achieving it alone. Successful Mothers is a community providing a sense of belonging where mothers are valued, appreciated and free of judgement.
My mission is to inspire mothers to recognise their own potential and embrace it to the fullest. I want this to be achieved by mothers envisioning the best version of themselves and becoming that version.
We all have the strength and power within us to realise our greatness, but the trials and tribulations of life can blur our focus. However, the role is undertaken, being a mother holds so many responsibilities all at once and this can be overwhelming.
It is a highly emotional experience, and all emotions are acceptable, but we have to exert control and create a balance between them. Successful Mothers tackles the idea that motherhood can be a hindrance to career and/or life goals through inspiring clarity and self-confidence.
We all have successes and failures but what we choose to define ourselves by is what is most important. We will not just be defined by what we go through, but how we navigate ourselves through it.
By combining my personal experience, expertise, and general passion for my role of being a mother, I recognise the impact that I can make on other mothers. Success is making a positive impact. To me it also means total self-acceptance – valuing yourself for who you are, overcoming mistakes and constantly moving forward to reach the goals we have set for ourselves. Our values and sense of purpose are what bring us fulfilment.
Successful Mothers creates a space for mothers to connect and build one another up. During our monthly conferences, the audience is able to actively involve themselves in our discussions. There is also a host of online engagements for members to interact with one another through social media, allowing rapid communication and the reinforcement of ideas discussed in conferences.
More recently, we have started hosting mother-children events which have been a big success. Activities are organised to strengthen harmony between the mothers and children as they are able to spend some carefree hours together, free of responsibilities.
Young children have one chance in their childhood and mothers are passionate about giving them a positive experience filet with love, compassion, and care. This is what we try to achieve in motherhood. I believe everyone will feel included if we find the right method and procedures for them as individuals. Positivity and joy uplift everyone around us.
By building bridges, we can create a powerful community for the world around us. True happiness and fulfilment come from improving the world around us. After all, mothers have one of the most important jobs: educating and developing the future of our world.
The name Successful Mothers does not only entail a goal. It also stands for the fact that being a mother in itself is a privilege and success. We can be givers and highly selfless but to maintain that in the healthiest way, we must also give to ourselves. In today’s society, we all need time to take time out. Mothers need to learn to also prioritise themselves and their own needs.
Our retreats give mothers some much-needed time out from the daily stresses, allow them to relax, reconnecting with what is important to them to be able to balance a career and family life they desire with their children.
We must value the wellbeing of parents; it is vital to children. Providing the right organisational techniques to maintaining a positive and productive environment is really important for me. No matter what our status or occupation is, we all need advice sometimes. We can always be better; we can always achieve more by helping each other to rise.
- Merita Avdyli, founder of Successful Mothers
By creating meaningful connections with other brilliant mothers, we are gradually influencing social changes and influencing more uplifting environments for families. We aim to bridge differences by understanding social issues that affect our communities and engage in collective action towards social changes.
All of us have been and continue to be affected by lockdown. Successful Mothers understands how important it is to embrace wellbeing and offer peer support to their members to help tackle the difficulties of being so isolated from everyday life.
Successful Mothers has hosted special live events with great leaders and speakers who allow participants to connect with experts and other organisations, which we hope to resume when restrictions are lifted. We are always exploring new ways of engaging young people as they are the next generation, addressing their concerns and aiming for mutual understanding and respect between adults and children.
In order to generate a positive and efficient impact, we use social research and professional help as well as holding consultations. Our focus groups mean we can perform involvement research. We are able to help members understand their needs, interests, strengths and skills so that they can work on them to overcome barriers that come with the beautiful experience of being a mother. We are stronger together and our support system upholds this.
To make a positive social change in a fair and inclusive way, in which every mother is inspired to be the best version of herself personally and professionally.
To inspire mothers to focus on their personal and professional life with greater confidence. We seek to empower far more mums to create a belief system that serves them by developing emotional stability, raising competence and taking ownership of their lives; to enable them to live their dreams and aspirations by unlocking their own potential and manifesting their inner beauty on the outside.
To enable mothers to participate in society in an active and loving way, to create harmony and contribute positively – locally, nationally, and globally.
Successful Mothers is a place where:

HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED?
Successful Mothers aims to support thousands of mothers a year across the UK, to get involved in different professions such as economics, media, teaching, the law, and motivate the children to do the same. Influence matters! Providing different development opportunities for children and young people, extend their social skills through working with both adults and peers.
Participation has evolved between adults and children, which includes information sharing and describing the dialogue between children and adults based on mutual respect, in which children can learn how their views are considered and how they can shape the future.
We work in a variety of ways such as volunteering programmes, getting involved with different organisations, with the goal of raising aspirations and improving vital employability skills.
Social change involves individuals coming together to address a social problem and tackle issues that brings social inequality or injustice in the community they live in.
It involves people giving their time and other resources for the common good, as they hope to improve lives.
Our society needs deep emotional connections in today’s modern world. As mothers/women we have exactly what it takes to make the world a braver and kinder place. We are committed to gently making those changes by connecting and collaborating together. That commitment starts now with this crisis.
Now more than ever we see how important a virtual community is. Talking about important safety measures and how to open conversation with our children is crucial, so working with our children to establish rules and use technology to develop digital skills is important.
All mothers continue to contribute to their community, having a nurturing and natural way of facing challenges. With their empathy, compassion, love, care, and kindness, they continue to spread happiness around the world. We need this more than ever so we can empower our young generation to cope with difficulties and face challenges in a most positive way and take the lead on addressing the causes and effects of their issues.
Successful Mothers book has produced incredible stories of mothers and girls and motivates thousands more not only to face challenges in a way that is inspiring, but also show that we are experts of our own lives. Inclusive approaches, especially those that are less frequently heard, make a difference in a modern world that we live in.
Enabling mothers and young people to share their own experiences can have a powerful impact on audiences of all ages. New ways of engaging with children and young people, are leading to greater mutual understanding and respect, increase confidence, knowledge, self-esteem, and the confirmation that their views matter and can affect change.
