At Nottingham Trent University - 7th International Conference on Behavioural Addiction, talking about the results of our qualitative research Understanding gambling in the

United Kingdom: A qualitative studyon the experiences of gamblers’ families. The results show how gambling problems have a negative effect on gambler's family, as family factors can increase vulnerability to gambling-related damage.

This research is a step toward closing the gap in recognising early warning signs and giving attention to treatments. Although there is enough evidence to connect individual factors to harm, there are substantial gaps in our understanding of the relationship between these factors and gambling-related harm.
